Data Source And Updates

The catalog uses LaunchBox metadata, including platform, region and cooperative-play records. Our reproducible catalog snapshot was packaged on August 18, 2026. This is the date of our saved dataset, not a claim that every game's information was checked on that date.

The site does not continuously synchronize with the LaunchBox Games Database. Updates require a reviewed data import and a new site build. Homebrew, later releases and community entries can appear alongside original commercial games; the counts should not be read as launch-era library totals.

What The Catalog Counts

Source rows describe a title on a platform. The catalog groups rows by a normalized title key and combines their platform and region information. Counts refer to these grouped titles, rather than individual releases.

Grouping ignores capitalization, accents, punctuation, bracketed notes, word order, and selected edition words such as “remastered” and “collection”. Platform aliases are normalized too. This helps connect repeated entries, but a shared title does not establish that two versions have identical content or features.

Platforms And Regions

Cross platform mode requires a match on every selected console. Exclusive titles mode means one known platform in this catalog. These filters describe the indexed data, not a complete history of every release.

Regions are combined across each grouped game's rows. A region match does not prove that every listed platform received that regional release. Unknown means no known region marker was available for the grouped title; it remains included by default.

Play Tags And Known Limitations

Co-op and arcade filters use recorded tags combined across a game's source rows. They help with discovery; they do not verify the features of a particular port. Missing tags are not evidence that a feature is absent.

Different games with the same normalized name can merge, while renamed regional versions can stay separate. Incomplete platform, region, and play data can affect every count and filter. Check the specific version before relying on a result for a purchase or a play session.
